WAIHOLA SCHOOL

The annual examination of the above school was held on Wednesday last, in presence of the school committee, and a number of lady visitors. After a strict examination of the leading subjects, the youngsters were regaled with an abundance of cakes, lollies, and tea, which they did ample justice to. The next performance was the distribution of prizes by the chairman, and a presentation to Miss Watson, the assistant teacher. This gift was subscribed for by Miss Watson’s sewing class. After the presentation, young and old indulged in a number of out-door sports, and concluded the day in a most cheerful manner. We append the Prize-list.
