RESIDENT MAGISTRATES COURT

TUESDAY, JULY 1ST, 1884.
(Before Messrs Souness, MacGibbon, and Green J.J.P.)
BANNERMAN V. HOFFMAN.
Claim £13 15s 11d for oats and bags sold and delivered.
Defendant admitted liability and asked time to pay. It appeared in evidence that abundant opportunity had been afforded of paying off the debt, which had been due more than 13 months, by labor, and judgment was accordingly given for amount with costs 20s, and intimation given that judgment would take precedence of all other debts.
The Court here adjourned for dinner... "The Mataura Ensign", 04 July 1884.
