The District Court sat in bankruptcy at Invercargill on Saturday. The following amongst other debtors were adjudicated bankrupts on their own petitions:-J. D. Hayes, Charles Douglas, C. P. Raines, John Hoffman, and Isaac Plunkett. The New Zealand Agricultural Company, for whom Mr. Howard appeared, petitioned for the adjudication of John Dickson and John Pagan as Bankrupts. Mr. Wade, on behalf of the debtors, raised several objections to the petition, which was dismissed with costs,-The public examinations of the following bankrupts were declared completed, no creditors appearing to examine:-John Hunter, Edward Darrell, William Crow, and William Lane.
